English Speaking & Listening in Spain

Keeping with the Australian theme this week again!! Do you remember in class talking about the different hemispheres and the different season? Spain is located in the Northern Hemisphere which means that on June 1st it will be Summer. Australia is located in the Southern Hemisphere which means that on June 1st is will be winter. Australian Animals I want you to watch the video about animals and write down one sentence about and animal in the comments below. What is your favourite Australian animal?  

This week I am continuing the Australia trend with a word list vocabulary list, see how many words from each letter of the alphabet you can find related to Australia. Think of animals, places, sports. This week I thought I would share some of the songs that I learnt in Australia when I went to school. Some you may remember from class and some might be new ones. 1. BINGO!! Listen to the song and then as it goes through each round a letter will be missing so you can clap your hands rather than singing the letter. 2.        WHEELS ON THE BUS!! DO YOU REMEMBER THIS ONE FROM CLASS? 3. Ba Ba BLACK SHEEP: This one is about sheep! Can you remember how many bags of wool there are?

With only a few weeks left, this week is all about animals and Australia Zoo! Do you remember all the pictures of the Australian animals from class? There was the Kangaroo, Koala, Emu, Wombat, Echidna, Platypus. I hope that you enjoy the video with some animals you may know and some that you might not.

As there are only a few weeks left I thought this week I would share something a little more related to Australia, so I have a video about Steve Irwin. Do you remember talking about Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter in class? Watch and listen to the youtube videos

Hello again for another week!!! I hope you have all enjoyed being able to go outside again, I know that I have enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine. This week I want you to practice your speaking skills. First, write a short text (80 words approximately)  about a topic that is interesting. Maybe about your family, pets, friends, activities you have been doing at home during quarantine or something that is of interest to you. Please feel free to send me your text in the comments below!! Then, I want you to practice reading the text out loud to a family member or just in front of a mirror. Practice until you can say the entire text without reading. It might be a big challenge but the more you practice the easy it will become. I look forward to reading some responses!!!
